WGRC wins 1st Prize for Best Float in Chesterland 4th of July Parade!

For the sixth straight year, the West Geauga Recreation Council won 1st Prize for Best Float in the 2007 Chesterland 4th of July Parade.

This year's theme was Home of the Free Because of the Brave.  The WGRC float remembered Ohio's 319 Medal of Honor winners and featured a Civil War soldier, Uncle Sam, the Statue of Liberty, and several army commandoes.  Congratulations to the members who applied their creativity and talent to this fun project!
